Cancer Survivor Textile Workshop

This exclusive workshop, hosted by BE WELL THERAPY, is designed for cancer survivors to explore the healing power of art. Led by me, instructor Jan Rolston, participants will create a large-scale Polynesian-inspired tapa cloth (96" x 96") using printmaking techniques like stencils and stamps.

Each participant will have the opportunity to design and print one to two sections of the cloth during their session. By the end of the workshop, each student will have contributed to a beautiful, collaborative piece of art that symbolizes personal strength and resilience.

This workshop is already fully booked, with separate sessions taking place on April 26, 2025, and May 6, 2024. It offers a unique chance for participants to connect through creativity and healing.

Indigo Dye Workshop - For Kids

Dates: January 22, 2026 – February 2, 2026
Location: Playa Viva, Mexico

Join me, Jan Rolston, for a fun and creative indigo dye workshop in beautiful Playa Viva, Mexico, where kids will have the opportunity to learn the art of tie-dye and contribute to a meaningful cause.

During this hands-on workshop, kids will create their own custom tie-dye shirts, learning about the process of indigo dyeing and the rich cultural history behind this technique. Each child will leave with their own uniquely dyed shirt, a wearable piece of art!

In addition to the shirts, kids will also participate in dyeing a quilt, which will be sold to raise money for children's education. This project will not only allow the kids to express their creativity but also make a lasting impact on the community by supporting access to education.

This workshop is an exciting opportunity to learn, create, and give back, all while having fun with indigo dye!
